WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

The following are the core doctrinal beliefs that drive the ministry of Deon and Tola Akintomide. While we understand that there are doctrinal issues that people may hold on to that do not impact so much on their status as believers in Jesus Christ, we also believe that it is very important that issues like the deity of Christ, salvation through Christ alone and others are incontrovertible for a true Believer

The Bible

::: We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God; it is the complete revelation of God to man, and any revelation or‘gospel’ that does not line up with it is not true. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1: 20-21)

God and Jesus Christ

::: We believe that there is only one God eternally existing in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. (Ephesians 4:5-6, Gen. 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17)

::: We believe in the deity of Christ.(John 1: 1-4; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:1-5)

i. He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35)
ii. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:30-35)
iii. He died (John 19:30-35)
iv. He rose again from the dead bodily (John 20:25-29, Luke 24:36-40)
v. He ascended into heaven bodily (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 29-30)
vi. He will come back in power and glory – physically – for His own . (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Salvation, the Holy Spirit AND Holy Living

::: We believe that the only means of being cleansed and saved from sin is repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus. (Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47; Ephesians 1:7)

::: We believe that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God is essential for personal salvation (Titus 2:5, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 5:25-27)

::: We believe that baptism in water by immersion is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. This declares to the world that they have died with Christ and been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47, 48; Romans 6:4).

::: We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing for the body, salvation for the soul of everyone that believes. (1 Peter 2: 24; Acts 3: 16, Acts 9: 32 – 35)

::: We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Spirit, he receives divine enablement for Christian service and witness. (Acts 1: 8; 2:4; 3:1 – 26; 4:5 – 12)

::: We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, (Romans 15: 16; 1 Corinthians 6:11), and that Christians are called to separate themselves from the filthiness of this world to live holy lives above sins. (1 John 3:6-10; 1 Peter 1:16).

Marriage and Communion

::: We believe in the institution of marriage as a divine arrangement uniting a husband and a wife who are a man and a woman; that it is never the will of God for two people of the same gender, or a human and an animal, to be maritally united. We believe that the original and perfect will of God is monogamy, the union of one man and one woman in marriage, and that adultery can never be justified. (Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 6:16-17.

::: We believe in the ordinance of the ‘Holy Communion,’ or the ‘Lord’s Supper’, which consists of the elements – bread and the fruit of the vine. It is a symbol of our sharing the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4); a reminder of His suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26); and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26).

The Coming of Jesus and Eternal Judgement

::: We believe in the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the former to eternal life and the latter to eternal judgment. (Revelations 20: 11 – 15; 1 Corinthians 15: 12 – 23)

Hello Friend,

I received Jesus into my heart in the year 1983. A few years after this, I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Then everything changed.

God planted in my heart a passion for souls and this has been the basis of our outreaches. Whatever we do, we want to see souls saved and lives transformed. The sick has been healed, homes healed and relationship restored.

Please take your time to check our various outreaches on this website. You can be part of and be blessed through our outreaches like the the Big Love Crusades, LoveAlive, and even visit our church The LifeHouse Kingdom Center.

We have materials on this website that I believe will help you grow spiritually and stir you up to be the best the Lord wants you to be and help you to live a holy life.
